Lemon Ginger & Turmeric Infused Honey
Make this herbal-infused honey to add to tea or take when you have a sore throat.
For sore throat, cough, and comfort, this infused honey is delicious when taken off the spoon or mixed with herbal tea.
Lemon, Ginger, & Turmeric Infused Honey
Components:
Honey has been used for centuries and is an effective herbal remedy for a sore throat and the common cold.Â
Lemon is abundant in vitamin C and offers the most lovely flavor to any infusion.Â
Spicy and warming, ginger is a decongestant herb that I love to take when I’m fighting a cold or flu. It’s also a great remedy if you suffer from nausea or motion sickness.Â
Best known for its anti-inflammatory and immune enhancing properties, turmeric is one of my favorite herbs I use in my kitchen medicines. It adds a light flavor and a bit of spice to this infused honey.
Crafting:
Fill a clean and sanitized jar with sliced lemon, ginger, and turmeric.
Slowly pour the honey over the herbs and fill to the top of the jar.
Cover with a lid and leave on the counter for 12-24 hours.
Store the jar in the refrigerator and use as needed.Â
