Colorful Herbal Flower Tea | 4 Recipes for Health & Wellness
Sharing my adventures with colorful herbal flower teas!
Sipping herbal tea throughout the day has become a calming ritual for me.
I love playing with different herbs to enjoy their flavors, health benefits, and—of course—the stunning colors they create.
Botanical herbs such as hibiscus and butterfly pea flowers are packed with subtle flavors and transform your tea into eye-catching hues.
Below are some of my favorite colorful herbal flower tea recipes!
Colorful Herbal Flower Teas (4 Recipes)
Components:
Hibiscus flowers are rich in antioxidants, fight inflammation, and lower blood pressure.
Butterfly pea flowers hydrate skin, balance blood sugar, and promote weight loss.
Peppermint tea leaves help to improve digestion, helps relieve menstrual cramps, and increase energy.
Green Peppermint Herbal Tea
A cooling green tea with a burst of peppermint.
Ingredients:
½ gallon water
3 tbsp peppermint leaves
½ tbsp butterfly pea flowers
Instructions:
Brew the peppermint and butterfly pea flowers for 4-6 minutes. The combination of herbs will give your tea a refreshing green color.
Let the tea cool to room temperature and sweeten to taste if desired.
Blue Herbal Flower Tea
A calming blue tea that’s light and refreshing.
Ingredients:
½ gallon water
3 tbsp butterfly pea flowers
Instructions:
Brew the butterfly pea flowers for 4-6 minutes until a striking blue color appears.
Let the tea cool to room temperature.
Sweeten to taste if you’d like, and serve over ice for a crisp, refreshing drink.
Red Hibiscus Tea
A bold and tangy red tea with floral notes. Hibiscus is sour, so I suggest adding a sweetener like honey.
Ingredients:
½ gallon water
4 tbsp hibiscus flowers
Instructions:
Brew the hibiscus flowers in hot water for 4-6 minutes until the tea takes on a rich red hue.
Let it cool to room temperature.
Sweeten with raw honey, if desired.
Purple Herbal Tea
A striking purple tea with a refreshing citrus twist.
Ingredients:
½ gallon water
3 tbsp butterfly pea flowers
Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions:
Brew the butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 4-6 minutes until the tea turns a vibrant blue.
Let the tea cool to room temperature.
Add the lemon juice and watch as the color transforms from blue to purple.
